Who provides this app
Mobile Learning is provided by Timastra LLC, 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #38687, Casper, WY 82609, US. Privacy questions can be sent to support@timastra.com.
This policy explains the app’s data use, including optional features and differences between supported platforms.
Free learning and optional Plus
All ten courses, ordinary review and pronunciation remain free and work offline without an account. Version 0.2.1 (3) is the free test build. Controlled Plus test builds starting with 0.3.0 (4) add optional adult billing and practice tools; availability depends on the installed build and test track. Hosted learner accounts and learning synchronization remain disabled. There is no advertising or learner behavioral analytics.
Local learning history
Course choices, exercise answers, saved attempts, progress, review schedules and preferences stay in an unencrypted local database on your device. Protect access to your phone. The app does not automatically upload learning history to Timastra. Android automatic app backup and device transfer are excluded for app-owned data.
Optional microphone and pronunciation
Microphone permission is requested only when you start a pronunciation recording. Recordings are played locally, never uploaded by the app and not automatically graded. Closing an exercise discards its recording. A recording left by an interrupted session may remain until local cleanup or app-data deletion; the next recording cleanup removes clips older than seven days. English, Spanish, French and German pronunciation uses bundled synthetic clips. Japanese and Korean request an installed voice reported as offline by the Android text-to-speech engine; a transcript stays available when a suitable voice is missing. Voice installation and the engine's own services follow its provider's privacy policy.
Adult Timastra sign-in
Only adults aged 18 or older manage Plus. The date-of-birth gate runs locally and does not save or transmit the date. Timastra's hosted identity service processes the adult's sign-in details and verified email; the app never handles the password. A dedicated Mobile Learning client uses short-lived access tokens. The billing service links the adult's Timastra subject to a random RevenueCat customer ID; it does not grant business workspace access or send learner information. The app stores the adult session and a bounded signed access lease in Android secure storage, separately from local learner records.
Google Play and RevenueCat
Google Play processes payments under its own policies. RevenueCat, our subscription service provider, processes a random named adult app-user ID, store purchase and subscription records, and technical device and network information to verify and restore Plus. Timastra can view subscription status and subscription analytics. We do not send email, birth date, course choices, learning history, saved vocabulary or recordings to RevenueCat. Automatic identifier collection, attribution, diagnostics and subscriber attributes are disabled; ordinary billing SDK and store technical processing still occurs after adult sign-in. RevenueCat is not initialized at child startup. Sandbox acceptance uses licensed store test transactions; test access does not unlock production.
Billing retention and deletion
The dedicated billing service keeps account/access status, minimal hashed ownership claims, and webhook event/retry records. It does not store raw receipts or purchase tokens. Deleting the Mobile Learning billing account immediately disables its access and queues RevenueCat customer deletion with retries. Minimal account and ownership hashes remain to prevent purchase reassignment. The shared Timastra identity is preserved for other apps; request shared-account deletion separately through Timastra support. RevenueCat and Google may retain records for their applicable obligations. Encrypted service backups can retain earlier records until the applicable backup retention period ends; restored services must reapply deletion state before access is enabled.
Reminders, exports and support
Notification permission is optional for local practice reminders. Delivery depends on Android settings. You choose whether to share a learning-data export; its destination has its own privacy practices. Shared copies are not removed by erasing local app data. Emails you send to Timastra support are processed to respond to your request and retained while needed for support or applicable recordkeeping. Do not include recordings, passwords or learning-history exports in support messages.
Retention and deletion
Use Settings > Delete my learning data to erase local learning history. Clearing app storage or uninstalling also removes installed local data. Delete exports you saved or shared separately. Timastra cannot recover or remotely erase local progress it does not hold. For Plus, open the adult billing screen, sign in with the billing Timastra account, and choose Delete billing account. This removes Mobile Learning billing access and requests RevenueCat customer deletion, while preserving local learning and the shared Timastra identity. Cancel renewal separately in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions; billing deletion or uninstalling does not cancel renewal. For a web-based deletion request, email support@timastra.com with Mobile Learning and the billing account email. We verify ownership without requesting a password, token or learning export. Specify separately if you want the shared Timastra identity deleted because other apps may use it.
View deletion instructions and request help.
Support messages and your privacy choices
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Email and hosting providers process these communications and ordinary connection information. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations; you may request deletion of correspondence.
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of personal information we hold, or raise an objection or withdraw consent where applicable. Local-only records must be managed on your device because we do not hold a remote copy. Optional device permissions can be revoked in system settings. Service providers may process data outside your country under their own policies; security also depends on your device and any destinations you choose for exports.
Contact and policy changes
Email support@timastra.com for Mobile Learning privacy questions. Include the app name and enough non-sensitive information to identify your request. Never send passwords, authentication codes, recovery keys or private health, financial or photo backups. We may need to verify ownership before releasing or deleting hosted records.
Material changes to the app's data practices will be reflected in this policy with an updated date and in the app where appropriate. Visiting this page is also covered by our website privacy policy.
