Who provides this app
Swindle is provided by Timastra LLC, 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #38687, Casper, WY 82609, US. Privacy questions can be sent to support@timastra.com.
This policy explains the app’s data use, including optional features and differences between supported platforms.
Chess data
Games, moves, imported chess files, personal libraries, custom personas and their pictures, your player name and picture, settings and practice progress are stored on your device. Pictures you choose are copied into private app storage. Engine play and review run locally. Exporting or sharing a chess file passes its contents to the destination you choose; imported files can contain player names or other information.
Backups
Settings > Back up data creates a readable file containing saved games, review annotations, custom personas, settings and practice progress. You choose where it goes using your device's share sheet; Swindle does not encrypt it or upload it to an account. Device backup settings can retain copies of app data independently.
Purchases and connections
Swindle connects to the internet only to buy, verify and restore its three optional one-time purchases through Google Play: the Coffeehouse Killers persona pack, Unlimited Assistance and Unlimited Persona Creation. Google Play Billing and RevenueCat, Inc., acting as our service provider, process a random app-user identifier that Swindle creates (not linked to a name, email address or phone number), the products bought, purchase dates and Google Play purchase tokens, the device type and operating-system version, and the IP address of the connection. This is used only to complete, verify and restore purchases. Swindle does not collect the Android advertising ID or other hardware identifiers, and RevenueCat attribution and diagnostics are turned off. Google handles payment details; neither Timastra nor RevenueCat receives them. Local engine play does not require uploading your game.
Children
Swindle is a chess app for players of all ages, including children under 13, and is designed not to need personal information from anyone. It has no accounts, chat, multiplayer, public profiles, advertising, analytics or crash reporting. The purchase data described above is used only to support the app's internal operations; it is never used to advertise, build profiles or track anyone across apps or websites. Parents can require approval for purchases with Google Family Link; Swindle unlocks the purchase only after it is approved. A parent or guardian can ask us to review or delete the purchase records linked to a child's copy of Swindle by emailing support. If we learn that a child has sent us personal information directly, for example in a support email, we use it only to respond and then delete it.
Retention
Games and other on-device data stay until you remove them with Settings > Delete local data or uninstall the app. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as they are needed to restore purchases, and we delete them when you ask. Google keeps its own order records under its policies.
Diagnostics
Swindle does not include a crash-reporting or product-analytics service and does not send crash reports. Material changes to data collection will be reflected here and in the app.
Retention and deletion
Settings > Delete local data permanently removes this device's games, imported chess files, custom personas and pictures, learning progress, Swindle's cached purchase status and settings, then closes Swindle. The RevenueCat library can keep its own cached copy of the anonymous purchase record until the app is uninstalled or its storage is cleared. The bundled engine file stays because it holds no personal data. You can also remove games and imported files through their library controls or clear Android app storage. Delete backup files, shared exports and operating-system backups separately. Store and RevenueCat purchase records remain with those providers and can restore your purchases. Contact support for purchase-related privacy requests without sending a receipt token.
View deletion instructions and request help.
Support messages and your privacy choices
If you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Email and hosting providers process these communications and ordinary connection information. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations; you may request deletion of correspondence.
You may request access, correction, export or deletion of personal information we hold, or raise an objection or withdraw consent where applicable. Local-only records must be managed on your device because we do not hold a remote copy. Optional device permissions can be revoked in system settings. Service providers may process data outside your country under their own policies; security also depends on your device and any destinations you choose for exports.
Contact and policy changes
Email support@timastra.com for Swindle privacy questions. Include the app name and enough non-sensitive information to identify your request. Never send passwords, authentication codes, recovery keys or private health, financial or photo backups. We may need to verify ownership before releasing or deleting hosted records.
Material changes to the app's data practices will be reflected in this policy with an updated date and in the app where appropriate. Visiting this page is also covered by our website privacy policy.
